FRACC, in partnership with The Narrows Center for the Arts (The Narrows) and Fall River Public Schools, presents The SouthCoast Creative Arts Lab, a hands-on approach to leverage City awarded ARPA resources to benefit youth. Designed especially for 7th & 8th-grade students in Fall River Public Schools...a safe and welcoming place with a cool vibe for youth to gather after school to strengthen their visual and performing arts skills, collaborate, energize, and create.
Enrolled students will enjoy immersive, interactive, hands-on movement, music, and art lessons. Here students choose between visual and performing arts!
Program Overview
The SouthCoast Creative Arts Lab is an afterschool Art and Music program for 7th and 8th Fall River Public School students. The program takes place at the Narrows Center for the Arts (16 Anawan St.) Students are provided with free snacks and transportation from their middle school to the Narrows Center and back home.

Fall Semester 2024
Twenty (20) total students are accepted into the program each semester. Ten (10) art students and ten (10) music students work in smaller class sizes on creative and engaging art and music lessons. Each day begins with a movement/yoga session. An all student showcase occurs at the end of each semester for parents, friends, and people of the Fall River community.

The Creative Arts Lab gives its participants a unique opportunities in a safe and caring environment. See increased proficiency in hand-eye coordination, communication, and critical thinking skills. In group and 1-on-1 lessons, students will increase their knowledge and understanding while building art, music, and dance skills.
